Different Days Different Topics
For children 9+ years old, this holiday program is specifically designed to prepare students for the upcoming Coding Challenge Novice competition. Perfect for kids who already know Scratch and want to take their skills to the next level through structured training and competition-focused practice. Students who are proficient with operators and variables may join the advanced option for more challenging tasks.
Scratch
With Scratch, students can program their own interactive stories, games, and animations — and share their creations with the online community.
Through guided competition-style projects, Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for success in the 21st century and in coding competitions.
Coding Challenge
The Coding Challenge is designed to be accessible to all students, even if they have basic coding skills. There are five levels (or divisions), and teachers are able to enter their students at the most appropriate level based on skills rather than age.
Tasks require Turtle Blockly solutions or a text-based programming language, depending on the division.
